    PhD scholar cheats med aspirants of Rs 5c, held

    The city police on Sunday arrested a PhD scholar who posed as a member of a NEET committee and cheated five medical aspirants of Rs 4.95 crore. Police said S Nagaraj, 42, contacted V Senthilnathan, 40, from Kodambakkam in 2016 and introduced himself as a member of the National Entrance Eligibility Test (NEET) committee, and said he had a say in medical admissions.
