A four-year-old female elephant died on Sunday evening at the Sankarankovil forest range in Tirunelveli district. According to the forest officials, the death cause was ‘dehydration’. According to the forest officials, the elephant died in the mid-point between the Western Ghats and the terrain at T N Puthukkudi near Puliyangudi.
