    Two firemen die dousing blaze in Madurai shop

    While the country was celebrating Diwali, two young firefighters died in the line of duty in Madurai city when a portion of the textile store in which fire broke out collapsed on them in the wee hours of Saturday. The victims, P Krishnamoorthi, 31, and K Sivarajan, 33, were the sole breadwinners of their family.
