    Tamil Nadu gets 14% excess Cauvery water

    The northeast monsoon may have been 37% deficient so far, but Tamil Nadu has realized 21.49tmcft excess Cauvery water supply, roughly 14% additional inflow, from Karnataka reservoirs in this water year, beginning June, compared to the quantum prescribed by the Supreme Court. The inter-state border Biligundulu received 171.74tmcft water as against the stipulated 150.25tmcft until Monday.
