    If cyclone Amphan battered Kolkata for over six hours on Wednesday, the city suffered the after-effects the day after as lakhs of citizens were left without power, water supply and other basic essentials of daily life. To add to their woes, connectivity — be it cellular or internet — remained snapped across the length and breadth of the city through the day.
