    KMRC official’s new role: Mashima, kemon achhen? Do you need a doctor?

    Debabrata Nandi, financial advisor and chief accounts officer of Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation (KMRC), has a new job profile: attending to the daily needs of the 400-plus residents evacuated from Bowbazar. His work now includes ferrying kids to schools, listening to the angst of senior citizens and taking them to doctors, as well as supervising the evacuated residents’ breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner as well.
